Lower Hutt, Queensgate Mall and Hutt Hospital are 5-8 minutes in the other direction.

Petone's Jackson Street is buzzing with cafes and restaurants. There are about 40 places to eat in the area, including the renowned Chow, Gusto, La Bella Italia and Speak Easy. Petone's Workingmen's club is within walking distance.
